Jobsket is a different concept of employment website. We aim to transform the job search experience into something easier for the candidate. Jobsket will let you upload your CV and our system will take care of analyze and classify it without asking you to fill dozens of forms with data that is already in the CV anyways.
Besides of that, Jobsket has got a complete database with salaries in different places and for different roles and skills. We will use this information to give an estimate of the value of your CV in the actual market. This estimate can give you some clues about the your career, about the necessity of looking for a new job, or just reveal some missing information in your CV.
When you upload your CV into Jobsket we transform it into Flash format but keeping always the original file. The advantage is that you can send the link to your Flash CV to any person without having to worry about additional programs like Word or Adobe Acrobat. You can also share your CV. We even will provide you with a little widget to embed in your website or blog.
Finally, Jobsket's alert system will keep you up to date with the latest job offers that match your profile. You only have to activate these alerts and we will take care of searching in the job boards offers that match your CV. Once we find those offers we will send them straight to your mailbox.
Jobsket has been created by a team of people that were really tired of the cumbersomeness of the job searching process. You will find more about us at this link.
We like to think it will do. Jobsket is a CV database which means that uploading your CV to Jobsket then companies looking for candidates will be able to find you. Jobsket also offers services to recruitment agencies, headhunters and any type of companies. By uploading your CV to Jobsket you increase your visibility to all these people.
On the other hand, our vertical alerts system makes to find job offers a trivial task. You only have to upload your CV into Jobsket and we will notify you about all the job offers that better match your profile. And which is more important, this is a vertical service which means you get job offers from many different websites. If you are looking for a job, then our service will definitely save you a lot of time.
Oh, that's a secret that we can't tell you about! Oh no, we are just kidding! Our algorithm is really simple and we think it fits into common sense. Where have you been working? What is your experience? How much is the market paying for similar profiles? How much are you earning? How much you want to earn? That's your value.
When you upload a CV into Jobsket, we will guess where you have been working, what you have been doing and which are your skills. We don't need you to put this information into never-ending forms as it is already inside the CV. Once extracted, we match this information with the data in our salaries database and that gives us a base salary to work with. With that salary in hand we try to value your experience in every field giving a final estimate of your market value.
You can guess how well the algorithm has worked from the tags cloud. In your tags cloud you will find the places, roles and skills that we have assigned to you. We will do our best to get your experience right, but of course we could forget some details. In such case you better contact us and tell us about that role we have forgotten.
Yes. To make the valuation more accurate we have added recently the possibility of telling us your salary history. From the page of your salaries you can tell us how much have you earn in your last jobs and also what is your desired salary. If you enter all these information we will execute additional calculations to consider this when giving you a final value./
But wait... If I do that, I could cheat!
To some extent. We have limited the degree in which these settings will affect your valuation. But the point here is that you should not lie to a recruiter if you want him to consider you. You could also cheat when writing your CV at home or lie when asked about your last salary. Is that what you really want to do? Keep in mind that nobody is going to hire you just in basis of what is in your CV. You will have anyways to follow a complete process of interviews to defend your application. So it is better to do not lie in your CV and your salaries.
No. We will use the salary information to make a better estimation of your CV. We will also use it for companies that are looking to hire you. But this information will never be made public.
Yes. It might be that your company is paying you less than the average worker is getting for the same job. Have you kept an eye in the jobs market? Maybe you laid back too much and it is time to ask for a promotion or a salary increase.
Another option could be that your CV is incomplete. Take a look that the labels that our system has assigned to you. Are they accurate enough? Those labels are what our system has been able to learn from your CV, just like any employer would do. Is there anything missing? Maybe some course or important skills. Things like writing that you have been administering your office SAP system down can have a massive impact on the final value of your CV.
Of course not! Jobsket gives only an estimate of what a person with certain skills and roles would earn in a certain place as an average. But this is just a clue. At the end, there is many exceptional people out there that are earning much more than similar workers in their companies just because they are invaluable for their employers. That implicit value is very difficult to calculate.
But it could also be that the information in your CV is filled in a non-common way. Our system uses work experience to make better estimates. But when our system isn't able to find your experience, then the estimate won't be as accurate as it should be. Following common standards when writing a CV makes our task much easier. For example, the following statement "From 1-02 to 5-09" is much more difficult to analyze than something like "January 2002 - May 2009".
At Jobsket we are continuously improving our learning and analyzing systems to make better guesses so hopefully we will be able to handle your data in the future.
Obviously, not. There is many people and professions that are very difficult to value. What is the value of an entrepeneur?, what is the value of a politician or a writer? Or following the last question, what is the value of a person that is absolutely indispensable for their company? It is just not only that this people are professions are very difficult to value but also there is normally no jobs published in public job boards for this type of jobs. So it would be really difficult to create a market model for them.
At Jobsket, we could spend whole years trying to make a super-intelligent system able to give a 100% accurate estimation for everyone. But we have choosen to focus at the most common range of people only, which is after all who are most looking for jobs and what the companies mostly are looking for. We know that we will always have some error margin. But our clear objective from the very beginning has always been 90-15. This is to estimate 90% of people with a 15% of error.
There is no problem. From your profile page you can disable your CV estimation.
True. Potentially your CV could appear with 0 as a value which basically would mean that our system hasn't been able to match your data with any places, roles or skills. Maybe you are working in some profession that we haven't registered yet. In such case we would like you to notify us about this issue. Don't worry, we will fix it very quickly.
On the other hand, you could also get a 0 as value of your Cv when you upload an incomplete Linkedin profile because in such case Jobsket won't be able to get any information from you.
Yes, recently we have added the possibility to customize the tags of your CV. So now it is possible to create new tags or remove tags that you think that are not accurate. You also will be able to highlight some tags above others or even recommend us some thags that may be missing from our system.
Despite of that we would like you to consider that the labels that you see in your CV webpage are there because they are inside your CV. If you don't want any of these tags to be displayed then you should remove it from your CV as otherwise any employer would see it. We think that makes a lot of sense. For example, if you have done small SAP work and you don't like that tag to be displayed, then probably you wouldn't want an employer consider you as a valid SAP candidate, would you?
On the other hand, if you reckon that some of the labels are missing, have you checked that these labels are not in your CV? Maybe you forgot to write them down. This is one of Jobsket objectives. To highlight those little errors and missing information that can make the difference when trying to get a job. But wait, our system is not perfect. It could also be that we are missing that tag in our system. So if you believe that a tag has not been detected because of some bug, then please tell us.
Unless you are really interested in interoperability then you should not worry about that option. HR-XML is a CV representation standard to store CVs in XML format. We try to transform the CVs that enter in our system to this standard to make them more useful for companies. But, as this is your CV after all, we like to give you the opportunity to get it also in XML. So that is why you see that option.
